Today, we conducted the training for our client’s operation team for our Solar PV Fuel Saver System.
A Solar Fuel Saver system is not a conventional grid-connected PV system. Solar PV, diesel generators and the control system all need to work together.
The main challenge is not simply adding solar to a diesel grid, but maximizing solar penetration while keeping the generators and the electrical system stable.
Sudden changes in solar production, such as cloud cover, need to be managed quickly. At the same time, the diesel generators must remain above their minimum safe loading level, while preventing excess solar power from flowing back into the generators.
This is where intelligent control and a well-trained operation team are essential.
The training covered system operation, different operating conditions, alarms and the correct response.
The goal is simple: maximize solar penetration, reduce diesel consumption and keep the power system safe and stable.
